As a locally owned and family-operated company, our roots run deep. Owner, Benjamin Balet, grew up in Malta, NY, spending his formative years exploring the Adirondack trails and waterways. He learned the ropes of the industry early on, honing his landscaping and pruning skills under the guidance of his aunt, Suzanne Balet Haight of Balet Flowers & Design. Driven by a deep respect for the outdoors, Ben turned that passion into a career, studying Forest Resources Management at SUNY ESF in Syracuse.

Ben’s background spans the entire tree industry—from managing vast tracts for one of the world’s largest timberland owners to working with global wood fiber leaders and top-tier tree care firms. Now, as a licensed forester and certified arborist, he brings that big-picture expertise to the local level. Having managed forests in Maine and cared for trees across New York and Massachusetts, Ben ensures that Balet Tree Specialists delivers technical precision with a personal touch.
